Recognizing Your Intuition

One of the most insightful things I have read in the “Course in Miracles” is the idea that the world is not real. By acting as if the world is real, we deny the only truth that we know for sure. Our own reality.
Studying an atom teaches us that the objects we look upon and touch are made up mostly of empty space. They seem solid to the human touch. They look solid to the human eye. If our eyes saw a different range of frequency, we would see a different world. The things we see are real to us so long as our Essence wants them to be real to us. If we stop resonating with the experience we are living, our lives will change. Only the “I Am”, the experiencer in us, will never change.
Yet some people get so immersed in their surroundings, that they forget how to look within and how to consult their own intuition. In such a case, one of the best things a person can do is listen to their body. Everything that has happened to an individual in their lives, has also happened to their body. Anything that had a strong emotional impact, is stored in the cell memory of their body waiting to be transcended and released, or activated by their emotions.
Therefore anyone who finds themselves in a confusing situation, should start off by making A DECISION. Even if it is the wrong one. For a few days after making the decision, the person should pay attention to any significant events/signs that happen in their lives and to how their body feels. Did they sleep well? Did they break out? Did they get indigestion? Are they at peace with their choice? The situation only needs observation. Very little analysis is required.
This approach is one that acknowledges that the intellect and the ego have an understanding that is more limited than what is being offered by the subconscious mind. And our bodies, much as we enjoy feeling victimized by them, are our subconscious minds.
